Trying to make a bold move from buying books to e-books. Bold because I love the format of books. I love the smell of the paper. I love they way they look when they're showcased in shelves. For practical and environmental reasons I'm willing to try to buy some e-books. The only problem is, I can't buy from amazon, barnes & noble, kobo and other retailers because I don't reside in the US. They won't let me buy an e-book unless my billing address is in the US. why do people buy things they don't need? my workplace is very open to salespeople who want to sell goods, from clothes, bras, books to food to massage gadgets. today there was one selling moving fake aquariums. You know the ones you plug in or put a battery in and it'll light up and the drawings of the little fishies go round. Anyway, all of these salespeople showing up and putting up shop is all well and good as an example of a dynamic commerce. But it all leads to impulsive buys of things we don't need or have...

Ever had this happen to you? Feeling hungry, picturing the perfect meal in your head you set out to the eatery. Sit down, take the menu given but don't take much time picking out a meal because you're already salivating at the choice you made much earlier. Just the thought of the food gets your gastric juices pumping preparing for a feast. Then the waiter takes your order and says... Sorry it's unavailable, we're out... Bummer. Apetite gone completely. That happens to me more frequently than I'd care to believe...
